- One teaspoon of salt
- Two tablespoons of ghee
- Two and a quarter cups of water
- Two tablespoons of finely chopped coriander leaves
How to prepare Tomato Bath recipe
- So, first, let’s start with soaking the rice. Take the rice and wash it well until the water runs clear. Now allow the rice to soak in the water for twenty minutes.
- Next, take a small blender and add the coconut, red chillies, garlic, ginger, fennel, cumin and coriander seeds.
- Add a quarter cup of water to this and blend this into a smooth paste.
- Now add the ghee into a cooker and add bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom and cumin.
- Saute the spices in the ghee on low flame until it turns aromatic.
- Now add the onions and saute them until it shrinks slightly.
- Add the tomatoes and saute them until it turns mushy.
- Now, add the freshly ground masala paste and cook it for a few minutes.
- Add the peas, capsicum, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Saute them until the spices turn aromatic.
- Now, add two cups of water to the mixture and get it to a boil.
- Finally, add the soaked rice and coriander leaves and incorporate them well.
- Now, pressure cooks it on medium flame until two whistles.
