- Cumin seeds: 1 tsp.
- Mustard seeds: 1 tsp.
- Urad dal: 1 tsp.
- Coconut oil: 2 tsp.
- Curry leaves: 2-3 stalks
- Salt as required
Steps to make Tomato peanut chutney
- Cut the tomatoes, green chillies and red chillies finely.
- Peel and roughly chop the garlic cloves.
- Heat oil on medium heat in a nonstick pan.
- Add the cumin to the hot oil and saute it for 30 seconds.
- Once the seeds start to splutter, add the green and red chillies to the pan.
- Then add the chopped tomatoes and garlic and cook it for two to three minutes.
- Now, remove the mixture from the pan and let it cool down.
- Once cooled, transfer the mixture into a mixer and grind it into a smooth paste.
- Then add peanuts and salt to it. Now blend the mixture into a thick paste by adding small amounts of water. Remove it into a bowl.
