Pair Your Dosas With Tomato Peanut Chutney

Are you a fan of Indian crepes? Let me be more specific. Are you a fan of South Indian crepe? Yes, I am talking about dosas. That soft, spongy inner layer is held together by the crispy outer layer, giving you the perfect crunch in each bite. Yup, dosas are a piece of heaven. But, they by themselves don’t do the magic, right? Dosas are incomplete without that sambhar, chammanthis and chutneys like tomato peanut chutney. It is these accompaniments that make dosa a complete experience. So, in short, dosa is the perfect vehicle for these sides.

Moreover, the flavour component of dosas mainly comes from these sides too. So, to elevate your dosa experience and make it more enjoyable, you have to tweak the sides served along with the dosa. So, let me introduce you to Tomato peanut chutney!

What is a Chutney?

Chutney is one of the popular spreads served along with dosas. This side dish which originated from the Indian subcontinent, can be prepared in a wide variety of forms using a wide selection of ingredients. Not all chutneys are the same. There are chutneys where you add vinegar for storing for a long period and chutneys that are made fresh that are supposed to be used within a few days. So, one won’t be able to give a conclusive, single definition for chutney.

10 Quick and Tasty Chutney Recipes
