Making a healthy egg roll

Replace Fast Food With Easy and Convenient Egg Roll

First of all, let me be clear. We are not talking about the deep-fried egg roll that is part of Chinese cuisine; we are talking about its Indian version. Us Indians have a wide expanse of cuisines available to us. As each state in our country has their own brand of foods, flavours and cuisines, the variety of food we can cook daily is insane. But still, the current generation relies heavily on fast foods to fill their stomachs. Have you ever wondered why? What could have gone wrong with Indian cuisine?

The reason behind the decline of Indian cuisines

Time-consuming

One of the major problems with Indian cooking that has forced the current generation to rely on fast food is the time required for preparation. We cannot deny that cooking Indian food requires a lot of time and energy. Most of us do enjoy eating Indian but despise making them, right? Well, today’s generation has more or less pushed away Indian foods because of this reason. Keeping up with the fast pacing society and cooking yourself nutritious Indian food has almost become an impossible venture.

It is not portable

Another major reason we choose fast food over Indian food is because of its convenience. You can eat fast foods like burgers, sandwiches, pizza etc. without making much of a mess. Moreover, it won’t require a table surface and you don’t have to use additional utensils.

But at the same time, to eat Indian food, you’ll have to have table space. You cannot eat without getting your hands dirty and if not eaten properly on a plate it will become highly messy. It means you have to find time to sit and have your food which has become almost impossible for most of us. So, you naturally get drawn to something portable and less messy, and you can have it on the go. There can be more reasons why we tend to deviate towards fast foods than Indian cuisine. But these two are the main problems. So, what can we do to fix this? We’ll have to reinvent our foods in such a way that it fits our routine and lifestyle, right? Well, I can give you one item to kick-start the journey, an egg roll.
